Job Title: Teacher of Computer Science
Job Location: The Lacon Childe School, Cleobury Mortimer
Salary: Main pay scale, Upper pay scale. For the right candidate we will be able to offer either a ‘retention and recruitment allowance’ or a ‘TLR’ for additional responsibilities (to be decided).

About the role:
We are excited to announce that we are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Computer Science as part of our school teaching team.
The Teacher of Computer Science will be accountable for: planning and teaching lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach within the context of the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work. The successful candidate would teach students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
About you:
Our successful candidate you will need to be able to inspire, support and challenge students, as well as foster a love of learning about Computer Science. As a school we work very closely and collaboratively together, so we are looking to appoint someone who can join in with our team ethos of collaboration and participate in extra-curricular activities linked to the subject area and wider school community.
Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:
1. Honours Degree
2. DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status
3. Evidence of continuing professional development
4. Evidence of keeping up to date with educational thinking and knowledge
5. Suitability to work with young children
6. Able to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
7. Positive attitude to use of authority and maintaining discipline
8. Experience of teaching in a secondary school
The post will be permanent to start in January 2026 or Easter 2026. Applications are welcome from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time work.
