Main duties of the job
Responsible for supporting the Operational Training Manager in the creation, planning, organisation, and delivery of all operational training activities across the service.
Responsible for building up relationships with key stakeholders, including the policy team and providing mentoring support when required in the various student policies/ schemes.
This role will involve supporting the team at Regional and National Stakeholder events to promote funding and educate stakeholders in funding that is available.
The role requires frequent travel to various locations across the country.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
In this role you are accountable for:
1. Support the Operational Training Manager in the creation and maintenance of training guides across various workstreams, these could be for either internal operational teams or external facing for stakeholders.
2. Delivers training to team members and provides ongoing mentoring and support in all aspects of the service.
3. In conjunction with the Operational Training Manager liaise with Team Managers and Work Manager to enable the provisions of bespoke/ additional training to broaden skills, support skill gaps and meet the demand of changes to policy and rules.
4. Review learning evaluations and identify improvement opportunities.
5. Assist the Operational Training Manager and Team Managers in the development and delivery of an operational training plan.
6. Promote continuous improvement supporting ongoing learning and development.
7. Represent the service at various stakeholder events, supporting the Stakeholder Relationship Manager and Training Manager to deliver training on the Service Schemes and systems.
8. Provide direct support, help and guidance to stakeholders either via email or telephone enquiries as required.
9. Communicates effectively at all levels and can explain difficult or complex matters concisely, overcoming any problems in understanding. Has the ability to absorb and apply new information effectively.
10. Supports the Policy Team in the revision and development of all service schemes/ policies, procedures and guidance.
11. Liaises with DHSC on policy queries and provides clarity to team members.
12. Manages own workload and operates in line with service level agreements, technical instructions/ governance frameworks and within agreed timescales. Ensures an audit trail is in place documenting improvement processes.

10. 1.Three GCSE passes grade Cor above, including Maths and English or equivalent qualification or work-based experience.
