Multi-Skilled Engineer
* Location: Cambridge, On-site Full Time

* Shift Pattern: Days, Monday to Friday 8:30-17:00 (flexible)
Reed Engineering are working with a pioneering agri-tech company based in Cambridge, focused on transforming food waste into sustainable, high-value products using insect farming powered by artificial intelligence. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of all electrical and mechanical systems across their production lines.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
* Diagnose and repair faults on PLC-controlled systems, motors, sensors, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
* Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health & safety and food safety standards.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
* Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues and improve line efficiency.
* Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement projects.
