About the Role
:
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of gas and heating service delivery, ensuring compliance with legislation, contractual obligations and Mears operating standards.
1. Management of operational and commercial delivery in line with contract requirements, budgets and cash flow
2. Ensure full compliance with gas safety, health and safety legislation, company policies and industry best practice
3. Manage direct labour and supply chain resources to improve productivity and deliver cost efficiencies
4. Oversee programmed servicing programmes, ensuring all checks are completed within agreed timescales
5. Ensure accurate evidence is captured to demonstrate compliance with gas safety requirements
6. Promote a strong customer focused culture aligned to the Mears Red Thread
7. Ensure all reporting and KPI requirements are met within agreed timescales
8. Manage, coach and develop employees, ensuring performance and conduct standards are maintained
9. Protect company assets and ensure HR policies and procedures are followed
10. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, service users and local communities
11. Support business development activities and assist with bid preparation where required
Key Criteria:
12. NVQ Level 2 in Domestic Plumbing or equivalent
13. Domestic Gas qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1
14. Proven experience managing gas repairs, servicing, installations and compliance delivery
15. Strong commercial and performance management experience
16. Experience managing multiple sites and contracts
17. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a diverse workforce
18. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations including COSHH
19. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
20. Full UK driving licence
21. Experience in social housing and local authority contracts desirable
22. ILM or leadership qualifications and IOSH or health and safety qualifications desirable
23. Knowledge of renewable or alternative heating systems desirable
