A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sheffield is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong PE and Sports background to join our dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident practitioner who is passionate about promoting physical education, healthy lifestyles, and positive learning experiences across the primary age range.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Deliver high-quality PE and sports sessions across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
* Support teaching and learning across the wider curriculum when required
* Lead small group interventions and whole-class sessions
* Promote teamwork, resilience, and pupil wellbeing through sport
* Assist with school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular clubs
* Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to support pupil progress
* Provide classroom cover when necessary
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A recognised UK HLTA qualification or higher (essential)
* Previous experience working within a UK primary school setting
* A strong background in PE, sports coaching, or physical education
* Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
* The ability to engage and inspire children of all abilities
* A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
