Job Description

Crisis CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner – NHS Derby Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a Crisis CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to join the NHS in Derby on a temporary agency contract.

Role Overview As a Crisis CAMHS Practitioner, you will provide urgent mental health support to children and adolescents experiencing psychological distress. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Assessment & Treatment: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
2. Care Planning: Collaborate with patients, families, and professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
3. Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to mental health crises, ensuring safety and stability for young people.
4. Safeguarding: Identify and manage safeguarding concerns, liaising with appropriate agencies to protect vulnerable individuals.
5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Working Hours
6. Shifts available Monday to Sunday
7. Minimum of 4 shifts per week
8. Shift times: 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM
Essential Criteria
9. A recognised qualification in Mental Health (RMN, Social Work, or equivalent)
10. Experience working in CAMHS or with children and adolescents in a mental health setting
11. Strong understanding of mental health legislation and safeguarding procedures
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Contract Type
14. Temporary Agency Contract
