Legal Secretary – Luton
Newstaff Employment is hiring a meticulous and dedicated Legal Secretary in Luton to support a busy Private Client team; in this role, you will draft legal documents, manage client communications and ensure case files remain accurate, organised and fully compliant.
Location: Luton
Salary: £26, – £27, per annum (pro rata, depending on experience) + Excellent Benefits

Key Responsibilities
1. Draft legal documents, including wills, powers of attorney and estate administration papers; therefore, solicitors can progress matters efficiently
2. Maintain accurate and well-structured filing systems for all client cases
3. Manage client correspondence promptly and relay key information clearly
4. Schedule meetings, court appearances and client appointments to keep diaries organised
5. Conduct legal research and compile relevant documentation when required
6. Ensure full compliance with confidentiality standards and legal protocols
7. Provide proactive administrative support to the Private Client team
8. Assist across other practice areas when needed
Essential Skills & Experience
9. Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Private Client (other practice areas considered)
10. Good understanding of wills, probate and estate administration processes
11. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
13. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy legal environment
