EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential criteria
1. Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English, certificates required
Desirable criteria
2. RSPH Diploma/Certificate in Anatomical Pathology or Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology
Experience
Essential criteria
3. MUST HAVE Previous experience of working in mortuary and dealing with deceased patients including foetus’ and children Dealing compassionately with bereaved relatives in distressing situations and managing viewings
4. Experience of working and managing NHS Mortuary
Desirable criteria
5. APT Qualifications
Knowledge
Essential criteria
6. Knowledge of mortuary procedures/ documentation
Desirable criteria
7. Knowledge of infection control, health & safety and confidentiality issues
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Essential criteria
8. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Ability to use own initiative where applicable IT and keyboard skills Ability to use Outlook, Microsoft Office/ Word/Excel spreadsheets Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure Physically fit Full and valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle which must be insured for use at work
