Depot Manager – Brand New Site Launch (Haydock)
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 + Bonus + Company Benefits

NEOS Engineering are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Depot Manager to lead the launch and ongoing operations of a brand-new depot in Haydock. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven leader to take full ownership of a new site, shape its culture, and drive its success from day one.
Our client is a well-established, growing business within the engineering and industrial sector, now expanding with a new state-of-the-art depot.
Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for all depot operations, ensuring safe, efficient and profitable running of the site.
Oversee the launch and setup of a brand-new depot, including establishing processes, structure and operational standards.
Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing team across operations, engineering, logistics and administration.
Maintain strict Health & Safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
Manage budgets, P&L, resource planning, stock levels and KPI reporting.
Ensure exceptional customer service and strong client relationships.
Work closely with senior management to deliver on strategic goals and growth targets.
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience managing a depot, branch, or operational centre (Plant Hire, Transport, Distribution, Engineering or similar).
Strong people leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, KPIs and operational performance.
Hands-on, proactive leader comfortable in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong communication and customer service capability.
Solid understanding of Health & Safety compliance and operational standards.
