Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join a dynamic team delivering and overseeing commercial activities across a range of multi-disciplinary projects. The role will report to the Project Commercial Lead and work closely with senior members of the account team as well as stakeholders across the wider business.
This position is based in Surrey, with occasional meetings at other sites. We support flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide cost management support to minor capital works projects, ensuring seamless delivery and value for money.
• Monitor budgets and resources, making accurate referrals to colleagues or external contractors to ensure all enquiries are resolved within agreed timescales.
• Prepare and collate tender documentation (Activity Schedules, Risk Registers, etc. prepared by Project Leads) in line with the appropriate procurement route.
• Manage the full tender process, issuing documentation, handling queries, and addressing commercial matters in accordance with procedures and contract forms.
• Prepare Tender Award Reports, incorporating both commercial and quality assessments, and make recommendations in conjunction with the Project Lead.
• Manage interim and final valuations, apply cost management techniques, and advise on market developments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support project delivery by implementing systems and procedures to control quality, budgets, and standards.
• Provide input into technical KPIs, supplier performance management, and feasibility studies.
• Advise on procurement strategies, contract selection, and prepare supporting reports.
• Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including ownership of final cost plans.
• Undertake contract administration and valuation duties.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts.
• Act as a key interface with clients, stakeholders, and consultants at all project stages.
• Handle contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cost management procedures, templates, and internal processes.
• Provide similar services to other clients as required.

Qualifications
• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and ideally membership of, or working towards membership of, CIOB or RICS, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• DBS clearance is required.
• Regular travel to sites and partner offices will be expected.
