They are a Lexcel-accredited, mid-sized firm employing around 70 people; large enough to offer career progression and high-quality work and small enough to be personal, supportive and collaborative, giving you the opportunity to really shine and thrive in your career.Employee wellbeing is a high priority, with homeworking available part of the week for a great work/life balance and five weeks' annual leave entitlement plus additional leave over the Christmas shutdownWhat you'll be doing:Managing a caseload of civil and commercial litigation files includingdirector/shareholder disputesbusiness partnership disputesbreach of contractcommercial and residential property claimsToLATAboundary/neighbour disputesprivate nuisance, harassment and defamationwill/inheritance disputesprofessional negligence claimsdebt recoverypossession and insolvency claimsDrafting and reviewing legal documents, including particulars of claim, defences, disclosure and witness statements through to settlement agreementsConducting advocacy, instructing counsel when necessaryAdvising clients on dispute resolution strategies, including negotiation, mediation, and alternative dispute resolutionWho we're looking for:Suitable candidates will have:Fully qualified status - Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 2 years' PQEStrong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processesExcellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy skillsStrong organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlinesCommercial awareness and a client-focused approachWhat's on offer:This is a full-time permanent job, working 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (35 hours) with homeworking available 2 days per week.Benefits include:Competitive salary25 days' annual leave plus statutory bank holidaysAdditional leave over the Christmas shutdown period at Directors' discretionCompany pension schemeHybrid working (up to 2 days per week remote working)Excellent training and development opportunitiesWork life balance encouragedCar parking passClear, structured career progression pathwayNote: A competitive salary is offered which will be commensurate with experience.
