About the role

As a Maintenance Operative, the post holder is required to assist in the provision of a day-to-day maintenance function to ensure the smooth running of the schools' operations. This full-time position (40 hours per week) begins in November 2025 and may occasionally require weekend work. This role will work across our 4 Cumnor House School sites based in Croydon and Purley. Salary is dependent on experience.
The opportunity
As a member of the school maintenance team, duties include basic maintenance and refurbishment of school buildings. You will need a range of practical skills in order to carry out general maintenance and repairs, a good knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and ideally experience in dealing with contractors.

Who are you?
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a school environment, and experience in the building trade is essential. You must be able to work independently, and strong, confident communication skills are key to this role.
