A long-established manufacturing and fabrication business is seeking a skilled Dimensional Quality Inspector to join its quality and inspection team. This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet required specifications, standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out detailed dimensional inspections on fabricated and machined components.
* Verify components against engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements.
* Perform in-process and final inspections throughout the production cycle.
* Use a range of precision measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
* Identify, record, and report non-conformances and inspection results.
* Support root cause investigations and corrective actions where required.
* Liaise with production and quality personnel to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in a Dimensional or Quality Inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* High level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection tasks.
* Ability to work independently and manage inspection priorities.
Highly Regarded
* Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), particularly:
* Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
* Dye Penetrant Testing (Dye Pen).
* Current or previous NDT certifications.
Hours of Work
* Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 3:45pm.
* Friday: 6am - 1pm.
