SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time

Teaching Personnel is pleased to be partnering with a highly respected, inclusive primary school in Blackley to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in January. This role involves delivering tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential.
The school holds an Outstanding Ofsted rating and is well known for its nurturing ethos, inclusive values, and strong commitment to pupil development. You will be joining a welcoming, collaborative team that recognises the vital contribution support staff make to children’s success.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide focused support to pupils with SEN through 1:1 and small group interventions
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
* Contribute to the creation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to monitor pupil progress
* Adapt support strategies as pupil needs evolve
What We’re Looking For
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN
* A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
* Level 2 Safeguarding (or willingness to undertake training)
