Supply Chain Assistant

ImageHOLDERS is looking for a Supply Chain Assistant to support our planning and procurement operations, drive process improvements and enhance our planning systems. We're looking for someone who has:
Experience in supply chain, logistics or manufacturing
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Basic understanding of procurement and planning practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accountability
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Sage 200 is a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS applications
A proactive, self-motivated approach to problem solving
An interest in process automation and continuous improvement
Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Type: Full time, 4 days office based, 1 day at home
Start date: As soon as possible
Key responsibilities:
Works Order Support
Assist in the creation, updating, and tracking of works orders
Liaise with production and warehouse teams to ensure materials and components are available for manufacturing
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of order progress
Procurement Support
Support the procurement team with placing purchase orders
Maintain accurate records of supplier information, order confirmations, and deliveries
Follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders or delivery schedules
Administrative Duties
Maintain and update supply chain databases and internal tracking tools
Assist with document control
Prepare regular reports
Process Improvement & Automation
Understand repetitive manual tasks and propose or implement automation where appropriate
Support the implementation of digital tools or systems that improve efficiency
Collaborate with IT or software teams to enhance system capabilities
