Process Operator Our client, based in Houghton Le Spring, is currently undergoing significant investment to increase capacity and install world leading environmental controls. As a result, they are currently recruiting Process Operators to join the team, working in various locations within the facility. This role will become a permanent position upon successful completion of a qualifying temporary period. Hours of work would be Continental shifts - 12 hour shifts – 07.00am - 07.00pm and 07.00pm - 07.00am. Duties & responsibilities: * Must be safety focussed, demonstrate good safety behaviours and be comfortable to raise safety concerns should they arise. * Experience of working with chemicals and COSHH would be an advantage. Must be comfortable wearing PPE including a full face mask when required (no facial hair permitted). * Required to operate various critical processes including i) impregnation and drying plant, ii) thermal processing equipment and iii) onsite effluent treatment facility. * Required to perform in line testing on manufactured product and quality assurance checks. * Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping on production equipment and within production areas. * Running Machines and working from specifications.
