Role
As Marketing Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in planning and delivering creative, high-impact campaigns across our diverse portfolio of commercial services. You’ll:
1. Develop and implement marketing strategies and plans that support business objectives
2. Manage content across our websites and social media channels
3. Lead digital marketing activity, including SEO, Google Ads and email marketing
4. Write engaging copy and create on-brand visuals for campaigns and promotions
5. Support events, PR activity and internal communications
6. Monitor performance and use analytics to measure success and inform improvements
7. Working closely with section managers and the wider marketing team, you’ll help drive visibility, engagement, and income across YCL’s operations.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
We’re looking for someone who:
8. Has experience or a qualification in marketing, communications or a related field (e.g. CIM, degree, or equivalent experience)
9. Can plan and deliver effective multi-channel campaigns
10. Has hands-on experience with digital marketing tools, including WordPress, social media, SEO, Google Ads, and email platforms
11. Is a confident writer with excellent attention to detail and creative flair
12. Can analyse marketing performance data and use insights to inform decisions
13. Is organised, adaptable, and enjoys working collaboratively in a supportive team
This is a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover role at Grade 5 (£32,080 to £36,636 per year). This role is hybrid, with a mix of remote working and time on campus at the University of York.
