Role: Principal Landscape Architect

Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy based in Liverpool, seeking a Principal Landscape Architect. They work on a diverse range of projects across the UK and Ireland, focusing on renewables, energy, and infrastructure. Their projects include onshore wind farms, solar projects, and grid connections.
The Liverpool office is centrally located with excellent transport links, within walking distance of mainline rail stations with direct services to Manchester, Birmingham, and other major cities. It is also accessible via Merseyrail and bus routes. For drivers, the office is easily reachable via the M62 and M6, with secure parking and nearby cycle routes.
Responsibilities include:
1. Establishing and managing a landscape team for infrastructure and renewables projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
2. Preparing visual assessments and masterplans.
3. Conducting field visits, including photography and site evaluations.
4. Seeking new business opportunities, building client relationships, and preparing proposals.
5. Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and engaging stakeholders.
6. Planning and executing field surveys, analyzing environmental data such as biodiversity metrics.
7. Designing and coordinating planting and landscape plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
* A degree/postgraduate degree in Landscape Architecture.
* Chartered member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
* Strong experience in visual assessments.
* Excellent report writing, organizational, and client-facing skills.
* Proficiency with CAD, GIS, and graphic presentation tools.
* Commercial awareness with confidence in securing and delivering work.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel.
