Test Centre Associate – Glasgow
Pay Range: £13.45 per hour.
Role Overview
A Test Centre Associate is responsible for the invigilation of driving theory exams and ensuring the efficient delivery of tests to candidates. The associate will adhere to DVSA guidelines and Reed in Partnership policies, maintaining the integrity and security of all assessments.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a high level of customer service to all candidates.
* Check candidates' ID documents and book them into the system.
* Ensure the integrity and security of tests are maintained.
* Supervise and invigilate tests.
* Explain the test process and support candidates with other queries.
* Review tests and test centre schedules.
* Perform daily test centre opening and closing procedures.
* Ensure the test centre meets individual candidate needs in line with the Equality Act and our approach to diversity and inclusion.
* Handle and report incidents that could impact candidate testing.
Work Schedule
Roles offer a flexible pattern, either part‑time or occasional shifts. Shift options include:
* Mornings – 8:30am to 1pm or 2pm
* Afternoons – 12pm or 1pm to 5:30pm or 6:30pm
* Full Day – 8:30am to 5:30pm or 6:30pm
* Evenings – 4:30pm or 5pm to 8:30pm or 9:30pm
* Afternoon & Evenings – 12pm or 1pm to 8:30pm or 9:30pm
The Glasgow Theory Test Centre typically operates six days per week (Monday to Saturday). Successful candidates will be guaranteed a minimum of 10 hours per week and must be fully flexible, including availability for evenings and Saturday shifts.
Requirements
* Full UK driving license (driving not required for all locations).
* Significant demonstrable experience providing high‑quality customer service.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet short timescales, and multitask amidst competing activities.
* Experience working with diverse customer groups.
* Excellent judgment and decision‑making skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and Saturday shifts.
* Ability to remain calm and manage confrontational candidates professionally.
