Training Specialist – Point of Care | 6-Month Contract | Glasgow
We are currently seeking an experienced Training Specialist – Point of Care to support a large-scale healthcare implementation project across Greater Glasgow & Clyde. This field-based role will focus on delivering operator training, supporting rollout activities, and ensuring successful adoption of glucose and ketone meter solutions across hospital and community healthcare settings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare trainer with diagnostics, POCT, or medical device experience who enjoys working closely with clinical teams in fast-paced healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver face-to-face and remote training across multiple healthcare sites
* Support implementation and rollout activities for point-of-care testing solutions
* Provide post-go-live support to clinical users and stakeholders
* Conduct competency assessments and support user sign-off processes
* Coordinate training schedules and maintain accurate training records
* Troubleshoot basic user and workflow issues during implementation
* Build strong relationships with ward teams, POCT teams, and project stakeholders
* Ensure all training activities meet governance, quality, and safety standards
Requirements
* Strong implementation or rollout experience within healthcare settings
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to work independently across multiple sites
* Full UK driving licence
* Based in or commutable to Glasgow / Greater Glasgow & Clyde
* Able to start within one month of submitting notice
* Point of Care Testing (POCT) experience
* NHS experience
* Nursing, Biomedical Science, or diagnostics background
