Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
* Diagnose and rectify faults on production and site equipment
* Work on extruders, thermoformers, compressors, conveyors, pumps and HVAC systems
* Assist with machinery installations and commissioning
* Complete maintenance reports and documentation
* Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
* Manage spare parts and inventory levels
* Work closely with production teams and contractors
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role in Poole, you’ll need:
* A recognised mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, ONC or HNC)
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge
* Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and HVAC systems
* Knowledge of PPM systems
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Desirable skills include welding, fabrication and abrasive wheels training.
This role operates on a Panama shift pattern, covering days, nights and weekends, averaging 42 hours per week.
