A vacancy has arisen for Flight Lieutenant (WSO (ISR) / Pilot (ISR) or Air and Space Operations (Air Ops (S)) to serve as TOC WSO Trainer at RAF Lossiemouth on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 06 April 2026. The TOC WSO Trainer will be responsible through OC Tactical Operations Centre (TOC) for a variety of training and assurance tasks within the TOC. Primarily, the TOC WSO Trainer will ensure that all personnel are adequately trained and SQEP for their position at home and whilst deployed. Responsibilities will include: Support Flt Cdr Training TOC Training Team and fill the role of TOC Trainer 2 within the TOC. Manage the arrival of all new staff assigned to the TOC. Delivery of initial training to personnel assigned to the TOC. Act as an LSO and STARS Unit Administrator. Working with TOC section leads to coordinate continual review of methods and procedures to ensure best practices are identified and implemented. Identifying any requirements for, and ensuring implementation of, continuation training for TOC personnel. Representing the TOC at Trg DLoD WGs and other relevant training meetings, providing SME advice to identify training risks, and providing appropriate training solutions. Support the 42 Sqn Training Officer and Course Design Team with SME advice as to the requirements for training courseware across each specialist role. Provide OC TOC with assurance that the training requirements and standards have been achieved. Other duties as directed by OC TOC.
