This wide ranging and interesting role is crucial to SMS as it grows our metering portfolio and brings in the recurring rental required to achieve business a targets, as well as contributing to our domestic EV and domestic Gas Safety Inspection services. The Operation Support Assistant will be responsible for dealing with all subcontractor related invoicing and billing issues, subcontractor data controlling, reporting on subcontractor performance, attending subcontractor meetings, minute taking, assisting Project Lead on domestic EV installations, handling inbound and outbound customer appointment calls to ensure gas safety inspections are successfully scheduled. The role requires a key relationship with SMS field engineers to enable an organised and successful approach to day to day planning. The OSA will typically be working with: Subcontractor Partners EV Charge Point Customers End Consumers Engineering field force SMS customer service team SMS field operations management team SMS Capacity planners All other points of contact as per your line managers requirements. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:00, 40 hours per week. Hybrid working is on offer, consisting of 2 days in office and 3 days at home. Key Responsibilities: Some of the responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform first checks on all Subcontractor billing data. Handle large volumes of installation and performance data for forward distribution to Subcontractor partners via SharePoint. Assist with the administration side of Engineer onboarding and offboarding. Deal with both inbound and outbound customer appointment calls relating to Domestic EV & Gas Safety Inspection works. Schedule work for SMS EV Field Engineers to ensure working day is efficient as possible. Arrange access as appropriate (primarily over the telephone) to ensure engineer can complete scheduled jobs. Ensure that all jobs are claimed by the morning after job completion. Identify any issues and raise to Area Performance Manager. Maintain work management database and any other relevant systems. Liaise with other departments to ensure optimum service delivery.
