Children’s Residential Support Worker – Reading
£12.50–£13.50 per hour
£50 per sleep-in
Permanent, 40 hours per week
Shift pattern: 7:30am–10pm + sleep-ins (10pm–7:30am)

Your Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children living in our care. You’ll provide emotional and practical support, help maintain a safe and nurturing environment, and act as a keyworker for individual children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safeguard and promote the health and welfare of children, protecting them from harm and exploitation.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Keep accurate records and reports to support the smooth running of the home.
* Undertake training and apply learning to your role.
* Build trusting relationships with children and act as a keyworker in line with policy.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Knowledge of child development and emotional/physical needs.
* Commitment, flexibility, honesty, and integrity.
* Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
