Job Requirements
* Development of repair solutions and recommending inspection methods to meet short-term and long-term business needs.
* Analyze to substantiate component repair solutions and/or non-conformance in support of engine overhaul.
* As a Repair Engineer, you will be expected to read and interpret engineering drawings, understand GD&T, and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
* Collaborate with global engineering organizations and support functions such as design, stress, materials, and systems engineering.
* Work across functions in the development, implementation, and industrialization of repairs to support repair shops.
* Generate updates to repair development documents and engine repair manuals.
* Leverage prior experience and broaden knowledge within your technical discipline to meet product deliverables, utilizing internal and external resources as needed.
* Prepare and present technical data to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership.
* Share engineering information and promote open communication, including timely updates on significant issues.
* Ensure proper documentation of technical data in accordance with engineering policies and procedures.
* Develop specialized knowledge in your discipline, serve as a best practice resource, and stay updated on the latest technical developments.
* Use judgment to solve moderately complex problems related to operations, manufacturing, technology, or engineering, and support decision-making with technical data analysis.
* Explain complex or sensitive information effectively and work to build consensus, developing persuasion skills to influence others within your field.
Work Experience
* Experience in repair engineering
* Ability to interpret aero engine assembly and component drawings
* Familiarity with Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) processes
* Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
* Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems
* Ability to document and plan effectively
* Adaptability to change, seeking faster and simpler approaches that are impactful
