The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving processes. Previous warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but full training will be provided for suitable applicants. The position involves physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and load/unload operations, requiring a proactive approach and attention to safety standards.ResponsibilitiesHandling materials efficiently using appropriate equipment and techniquesOperating forklifts safely to load, unload, and move stock around the warehouseManaging stock levels through accurate picking, packing, and stocking proceduresUtilising warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update recordsCoordinating shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goodsConducting quality control checks to maintain product standardsAssisting with mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting equipment when necessaryEnsuring the warehouse environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulationsSupporting team members in achieving daily operational targetsExperiencePrior experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidateFamiliarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is desirable; certification is advantageous but not mandatoryKnowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is beneficialExperience with shipping & receiving processes, picking & packing, and stock management is advantageousMechanical aptitude or basic mechanical knowledge will be considered a plusAbility to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periodsStrong organisational skills with an eye for detail in quality control tasksTPBN1_UKTJ
