General Job Title: Human Resources Advisor Reports to: Head of Business Partnering Location: Belfast Contract 12-month contract An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Calor Human Resources team. This role provides a motivated candidate with the opportunity to become a key part of the HR team. This will be both a challenging and fulfilling opportunity with the potential to develop your skills and knowledge. The successful candidate must be interested in joining a fast-paced team, trusted to deliver people centric, progressive and tailored HR solutions. This role will support Calors Northern Ireland based employees office staff, production roles, drivers, field based sales and technical roles and their managers. Main Responsibilities: HR Team Support: Provide effective general administration throughout the employee lifecycle attraction, recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance, development, retention and exits, maintaining accurate employee data throughout. Employee Relations: Responsible for providing a professional support service to managers on the operation of relevant employee relations policies and procedures to include, but not limited to Absence Management, Discipline, Grievance, Dignity & Respect at Work. Policies and Procedures: Provide HR support and advice on policies and procedures to ensure consistent, equal and fair treatment of employees. Absence Management: Drive absence management initiatives and support return-to-work processes, including occupational health considerations. Recruitment: ensure there is a smooth end to end process of the employee lifecycle in line with the Fair Employment Commission of Northern Ireland. Performance Management: Manage the Workday performance management process, monitor and report on completion rates, coach and guide managers and employees in the process, ensuring quality goals and regular feedback Operational Excellence: Continuously strive to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our existing procedures and take ownership of process improvements as needed. Learning & development: Work closely on the coordination and delivery of learning and development initiatives and programmes, including onboarding, support learning and development activities. Pay & Benefits: Collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure accurate processing of pay and benefits for all NI employees, including support documentation. Diversity & Inclusion: Monitor and maintain accurate employee data throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Article 55 Northern Ireland fair employment reporting requirements and supporting the smooth end-to-end process in line with the requirements from Fair Employment Commission of Northern Ireland. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective working relationships across the business, supporting and advising employees and managers, resolving matters efficiently and escalating complex matters to the team as required. Work in collaboration with the wider HR team to implement and support the People and Engagement Strategy. Ensure that the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues is a priority in every-thing that you do - log Health and Safety conversations, as appropriate focusing on either an unsafe condition where we see something that could cause injury to a per-son or an unsafe act which is something that someone does that can lead to injury. General Skills and attributes: A Third level qualification or HR qualification equivalent (CIPD) Level 3 and above. Strong generalist HR experience - minimum of three years experience working in a Human Resources Department providing high quality advice and guidance to managers and employees Comfortable dealing with complex issues including Employee Relations and working to ensure effective service delivery. Experience of working collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. A proven knowledge of and application of employment legislation, statutory obligations and equality requirements. A proven knowledge of and application of policy, procedures, terms and conditions. Strong working knowledge of MS Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
