We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with experience setting up Distributors overseas (ideally throughout the USA and Canada, but not essential), to manage existing accounts and set up/develop new Distributors. Ideally you will have sold products into Mining or a similar heavy industry, used to being on sites in your Wellingtons and hard hat comfortable dealing at all levels. The role will involve c.40% of your time being overseas and being office based in the Stoke on Trent area when not traveling; you will probably be away for c.2 weeks at a time to cover the area more effectively and to make the longer travel worthwhile. You will need to come from a technical background, have a proven overseas Sales track record, dealing within a heavy engineering industry ideally Mining, Coal/Thermal Power, Hydro Power, or Agricultural, comfortable dealing at all levels on site in a very hands‑on environment. Being part of the Global Sales team, you will manage technical enquiries, set up meetings with Distributors and their end users, develop new relationships and bring on new Distributors throughout your territory.
