Head of School – School of Agriculture Policy and Development
The University of Reading is seeking to appoint a Head of School for the School of Agriculture Policy and Development. The role is for an established Professor or Associate Professor with proven academic leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
* Provide academic leadership for the School, setting its vision and strategic direction
* Represent the School externally, engaging with key stakeholders
* Ensure long‑term financial sustainability of the School
* Play a significant role in contributing to leadership at the wider University level
* Support and shape the Agri‑Food Futures Strategy and integration of research initiatives within the School
Qualifications
* Established Professor or Associate Professor
* Proven academic leadership experience
* Strong record of research, teaching and management within a university setting
* Ability to contribute to broader university strategy and governance
