Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Reading Intervention Support Assistants to join our bank of staff supporting secondary school pupils who require additional help with reading, comprehension, and literacy skills. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about improving literacy outcomes and supporting young people to access the secondary curriculum with confidence. The Role As a Reading Intervention Support Assistant, you will work with pupils aged 11–16 delivering targeted reading support on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. You will help pupils develop fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence in reading. You will work closely with the SENCO, English department, and teaching staff to support pupils who are working below age-related expectations or who require additional literacy intervention.
