Role summary
:
As a Same Day Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in providing outstanding customer service. This desk-based role involves managing customer inquiries, bookings, and liaising with third party providers to offer our customers a fast paced, highly professional delivery experience and service.
Key responsibilities:
1. Represent DX in a professional manner at all times
2. Follow all aspects of DX Manual Handling, Safe Working and Health and Safety policies
3. Taking customer bookings in a prompt and professional manner.
4. Assigning both in house and third-party couriers’ jobs.
5. Communicating with customers and third party providers to ensure a smooth and successful delivery from start to finish.
6. Obtaining PODs from third party couriers to ensure we have valid evidence of delivery completions.
7. To ensure we are using validated and approved couriers to carry out all deliveries.
8. Communicating with the customer. Ensuring an empathetic and professional approach at all times.
9. Daily reporting of KPI’s, figures and costs.
10. Finding the most cost-effective solutions to completing the work required whilst maintain high DX service standards.
11. Pro-active approach to duties, maintain a high level of customer contact and monitoring of movements / deliveries.
12. Observe DX procedures and policies at all times
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
13. Good geographical knowledge
14. Strong communications skills
15. referable previous experience working in traffic, warehousing or logistics
16. IT literate with high competence in all Microsoft office applications, working from multiple screens.
17. Ability to work well in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
