An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high performing 4 partner GP practice in Kippax, Leeds, as an Office Manager
The successful applicant will be easy going, able to work under pressure and have a friendly but professional approach to dealing with the public. You should possess computer and keyboard skills as well as experience of managing a team.
The position is for 30 hours per week
Monday 10:00 to 15:30
Tuesday 08:00 to 18:00
Wednesday 10:30 to 15:30
Thursday 10:00 to 15:30
Friday 12:30 to 18:30
Main duties of the job
The role will involve managing, training and overseeing all aspects of our reception and administration team to ensure all duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, meeting the objectives of the practice.
As well as managing the team you will also be expected to undertake general reception and administrative duties.
About us
We are a small and friendly practice located on the outskirts of Leeds.
Our team consists of 5 GP's, a nursing team of 5, made up of Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, a reception team of 5 and 4 Administrators. We also have a Practice Manager and Assistant Practice Manager.
Job responsibilities
* Team Leader for the reception and administration team
* Training and mentoring of staff including personal development
* Ensuring compliance with a range of policies and procedures, including their development
* Carrying out audits and quality control
* Rota management
* Managing patient concerns and providing guidance on our complaints process
* Arranging and documenting meetings
* Maintaining and updating all sources of patient information
* Stock control and ordering
* Reporting IT faults
* Carrying out duties of the reception team and administration team.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working in a customer service environment
* - Experience of carrying out administrative duties
* - Experience of leading a team as well as being a skilled team player
* - Excellent communication skills both oral and written
* - Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
* - Able to prioritise work and effectively manage time
* - Able to follow policies and procedures
