We’re looking for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our catering team at Clive Barracks, supporting the delivery of fresh, high-quality meals to up to 300 service personnel across three busy kitchens.

Lunch: 12:00–13:15
Evening Meal: 17:00–18:15
Shifts:
Early: 06:00–14:00
Late: 12:15–20:15

About the RoleAs a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations across our three busy kitchens with a team of 10.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve delicious, high-quality meals
Support the Head Chef with menu planning, ordering, and daily operations
Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards
Manage stock, control waste, and ensure efficient use of resources
Lead, train, and motivate junior kitchen team members
Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
What We’re Looking ForExperience in a similar role (Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie)
Computer-literate and confident using kitchen systems
City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
Valid Food Hygiene Certificate
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Passion for quality food and customer satisfaction ❤️
Flexibility to work early and late shifts, including weekends on a rota
