Overview
Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for long term assignment postal and delivery driver positions. Location: Guisborough. Shift: 08:00am - 18:00pm. Hourly Rate: £13.07 basic rate (additional rate for overtime).
Responsibilities
* You’ll start your day for an hour or so in the local delivery office, loading the mail for your route, before setting out on foot or in a provided van to complete your parcel/mail round.
* You’ll be given a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures for deliveries with each round usually taking around four hours to complete.
* The hand-held computer will also act as your routing system, putting your round in the most economical route.
About You
* Upbeat and self-motivated, you’ll be happy working alone as well as part of a team and getting to know different people on your round.
* You’ll have a strong sense of community and the idea of flexible working patterns will appeal to you.
* We deliver post/parcels come rain or shine, so we’re looking for people who like being outdoors whatever the weather and who view the job as a way to stay active.
* Some experience in a customer facing role would be ideal.
Driving licence requirements
A full UK manual driving licence required (in your current UK address), with no more than six penalty points is essential, but a clean licence is preferred.
