PE backed and going through a substantial growth phase, we are now looking to appoint a Sales Director, to maximise the opportunity for revenue growth.

The time is now right to strengthen their senior leadership team, so are looking for a dynamic and results driven Sales Director with proven experience. This is a strategic leadership role with a hands on delivery approach, responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share and leading a high performing sales team.
The Sales Director will be tasked with cultivating and nurturing strategic customer relationships whilst continually seeking opportunities for growth. You will be fostering an environment of high performance, developing and driving a winning sales team. The Sales Director will be required to recruit, train, coach, develop and motivate their team to win.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the sales strategy including creating plans on how to achieve sales targets, both through expanding existing customer accounts and winning new across each territory
* Lead, mentor and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed targets
* Identify new business opportunities and oversee major account negotiations
* Monitor competitor activity, threats, and opportunities, understanding customer and market trends to inform strategy and provide insight
* Collaborate with operations and other internal teams to align sales efforts
* Ensure the company continues to provide excellent customer service
* Build and maintain strong, long lasting customer relationships, true partnering with each account to understand their business needs and offer solutions that will meet those needs and more
* Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports and performance metrics to senior leadership
Experience
* A proven track record in a similar senior sales leadership position with experience achieving revenue growth
* It would be highly desirable (but not essential) to have experience from within the forklift or equipment sector in hire and sales
* Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
* Significant experience winning new business
* Experience leading large and complex bids and sales processes
* Strong negotiating and commercial skills – a proven ability to accurately price business opportunities and develop bids
* The ability to influence others at all levels to leverage decision making
* Track record of delivering strategic change, transformation and development
* Experienced in developing and executing sales process and strategy, gaining buy in from senior stakeholders and sales teams
* Driving a culture of high performance and accountability
The client operate an office based working environment that can provide flexibility, and would encourage and anticipate this individual to be out meeting clients nationwide with office based days when required.
