Plant Supervisor

About The Role
As Plant Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day operations of the batching plant, ensuring production meets customer needs while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. From operating computer-based batching systems to liaising with customers and carrying out routine plant maintenance, you will play a vital part in keeping operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Customer Service
* Operate computerised batching and dispatch systems.
* Batch concrete and mortar accurately in line with procedures.
* Work closely with the Order Office to meet customer requirements.
* Engage with customers politely and professionally in person and by phone.
Plant & Site Operations
* Carry out routine plant maintenance and inspections.
* Maintain plant cleanliness, housekeeping standards, and site presentation.
* Ensure adequate stock levels and check incoming materials.
* Conduct visual stock checks weekly and verify monthly.
* Ensure waste disposal, water discharge, and dust emissions comply with environmental standards.
Safety & Compliance
* Promote and maintain a safe working environment for employees, contractors and visitors.
* Report defects or issues relating to safety, environment, quality, or service.
* Comply fully with company policies on Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental procedures, Fraud Prevention and Competition Act requirements.
* Safeguard security of the site, plant, and buildings.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
* Review work methods to optimise plant use, efficiency, and material usage.
* Supervise contractors and hauliers on site.
* Carry out any additional duties required by management.
