Job Description
Our Client, a leading engineering and design consultancy, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor ideally with experience in one or more of the following sectors: Central Government, Nuclear, and Defence. to join their team in Leeds, Derby, Epsom, or Sheffield.
Responsibilities:
* Be able to attend offices in either Leeds, Derby or Sheffield a minimum of 1-2 days per week.
* Work as part of a team, providing commercial assistance to the client on a day-to-day basis.
* Carry out both pre and post contract work.
* Assist in the preparation of various classes of estimates based on available design information.
* Agreement of valuations and site measures with contractors.
* Produce monthly project reports.
* Processing contract invoices for payment.
* Production of reports for client review.
* Agreement of final accounts.
* Production of cost estimates.
* Attend and participate in project meetings.
* Support the client PM and project team with the management of contracts.
* Support project reviews and audits.
* Ability to take ownership of work packages, aspects of projects or projects with minimum supervision.
Experience Required:
1. BSc in Quantity Surveying.
2. Ideally MRICS qualified or working towards the APC.
3. Aptitude for a logical approach to problems and work generally.
