About the Role
Were looking for a skilled and motivated Structural Repairs Technician to join our Property Services team. This is a hands-on, varied role where youll carry out high-quality external repairs and maintenance across our homes, from brickwork and patios to fencing, drainage and groundworks.
Youll work independently, using your technical expertise to diagnose issues, plan materials, and deliver safe, durable repairs. Youll be a visible ambassador for SettleParadigm, ensuring every customer receives a professional, respectful and reliable service.
This role includes a company van and fuel card for business use.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out structural repairs: brickwork, patios, fencing and external maintenance
* Interpret technical specifications and mark out accurate work areas
* Prepare materials including mixing mortar to correct consistency
* Install insulation and drainage systems, vapour barriers and vents
* Inspect damage and estimate labour and material requirements
* Maintain van stock and minimise waste
* Ensure safe working areas and protect sites from adverse weather
* Use tools and access equipment including scaffolding and ladders
* Complete documentation accurately and on time
* Follow health and safety procedures and report risks promptly
* Support apprentices or junior colleagues when required
What Were Looking For
Must haves:
* City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent experience in bricklaying, groundworks or landscaping
* Strong understanding of construction regulations and health & safety
* Experience using hand tools, scaffolding and plant equipment
* Physical strength, good balance and ability to work at heights
* Reasonable literacy and numeracy
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong time management and prioritisation
* Commitment to excellent customer service
* Willingness to join the on-call rota for out-of-hours cover
Nice to haves:
* Experience supporting apprentices or trainees
* Additional trade skills or multi-skilled experience
* Knowledge of housing sector repairs

* 08:00 - 17:30 Monday - Friday.
