About the Job:
Interfit Limited is currently seeking an experienced Tyre Technician based at Leigh, Lancashire /St Helens, Merseyside
As a Tyre Technician you will be responsible for fitting all types of Industrial Tyres to all makes of equipment at the lowest possible cost of service through smart working, and to carry out regular fleet tyre inspections on customer equipment to drive increased sales activity.
Key Responsibilities:
* To fit all types of industrial tyres to all makes of material handling equipment.
* To actively grow and maintain the tyre business within your region.
* To remove, press and re-fit all tyre types in accordance with manufacturers and business guidelines.
* To identify and progress business opportunities in all tyre types by completing tyre fleet inspections at every opportunity.
* To achieve monthly performance targets.
* To maintain all tools and equipment to company standards.
* To ensure complete compliance with all health and safety policies, with particular reference to manual handling.
* To operate in a safe working environment through safe working practices.
* To process all related documentation accurately and promptly.
* To follow all Company policies, procedures, quality guidelines etc in order to ensure complete client satisfaction.
* To communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally, in order to avoid misunderstanding and error.
* To ensure your equipment is maintained in line with business standards
* To carry out puncture repairs as and when required
* To carry out Tyre re-cutting as and when required
Key Requirements:
* Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
* Good Computer knowledge
* Minimum 2 years in a tyre fitting industry
* Trained to operate hydraulic tyre press desirable
* Hold a valid driving license
* Willing to travel on a continuing basis.
