Role Purpose

The Senior Consultant role at Ardent exists to drive and deliver life-improving change for communities and future generations. This position requires a proactive individual who is prepared to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and continuously strive for improvement. You will play a critical role in enhancing team engagement, focusing on quality, and understanding commercial performance. The role demands a steadfast commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing, ensuring a supportive working environment for all.


Key Responsibilities

* Liaise with landowners and colleagues: strengthen relationships and improve delivery for clients, resulting in smoother project delivery and reduced conflicts throughout the project lifecycle.
* Advise on land referencing technical outputs: provide technical guidance to clients and junior team members, ensuring high-quality outputs and effective client communication.
* Assess client needs and foresee risks: develop skills in understanding client objectives, proactively advising on next steps, mitigating risks, and identifying opportunities.
* Client meetings and reporting: display confidence in advising and reporting to clients, fostering positive working relationships and client confidence.
* Mentorship and people leadership: demonstrate characteristics of a strong mentor, embrace learning opportunities, and support peers as needed.
* Promote wellness and safety: champion best practices in health, safety, and wellness within the team, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
* Manage project scope and variations: identify differences between project scope and client requests, notify Project Manager of potential variations, and ensure transparent change management.
* Business development: contribute to tenders, represent the company at industry events, and build relationships with clients and other disciplines to secure new opportunities.


Skills & Experience

* Effective relationship building: experience in building effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* People leadership skills: develop and inspire high-performing teams, creating a culture of trust and accountability.
* Tender contributions: proactively contribute to high-quality, successful tenders, securing new projects and fostering lasting client relationships.
* Delegated authority management: operate within parameters of delegated authority, ensuring decisions are made at the appropriate level while fostering open-mindedness and innovation.
* Team collaboration: exhibit excellent team collaboration skills, actively listening and thoughtfully analyzing input from all team members.
* Commercial and technical expertise: demonstrate strong technical and commercial capabilities that instill client confidence and lead to frequent positive feedback and endorsements.


Pay Range and Compensation Package

* 25 days of annual leave (with options to buy or carry over)
