Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations. Experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to all road regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
Follow designated routes while being flexible to adapt to changes as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements:
Full UK Licence
Hours:
07.30am-4pm Monday to Friday
Qualifications
Valid Class 1 HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed lorries.
Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items when necessary.
Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Driver CPC (preferred)
Less than 6 points on licence
Organised
Good geographical knowledge
