As an SEMH Teacher, your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet SEMH pupils’ individual needs. Promoting emotional wellbeing, social development, and academic progress. Implementing behaviour strategies and working from EHCPs and support plans. Collaborating with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals. Fostering a nurturing and structured learning environment. Tracking student progress and contributing to review meetings and reports. Requirements for an SEMH Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching SEMH pupils. Effective behaviour management and strong classroom presence. Patience, empathy, and a solution-focused mindset. Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and safeguarding. An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, explaining any gaps). An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
