Salary negotiable depending on experience:
NL (HG16): EUR 72.851-91.063 annually including 8% holiday allowance
UK (HG16): GBP 49.314-61.642 annually
US (HG16): USD 96.722-119.879 annually
This is a fixed term position for at least 6 months. If the position becomes permanent the candidate needs to relocate to The Netherlands. A relocation package and work permit sponsoring will in that case be offered. This position will not be offered as permanent position from another location.
The IB is looking for highly motivated, creative and imaginative applicants with a passion for educating young people in the Diploma Programme (DP). We are looking for a curriculum development manager with specific focus on individuals and societies, with a preference for linguistics or anthropology. The ability offer one other subject and/or core component is an advantage. Applications from candidates with experience in the DP/CP or other educational contexts are very welcome.

Curriculum Development Manager in the Education Office of the IB. Curriculum development managers strive to positively impact learning and teaching in all IB schools and for all educators and all students.
Aligned to IB’s educational philosophy, curriculum development managers plan, manage and lead the curriculum development of subjects and core components. Each curriculum development manager is responsible for ensuring the vitality, rigour and relevance of designated portfolios. Their work aims to further develop and strengthen the IB continuum of international education so that it is widely recognised as a leader in this field. Specifically, the curriculum review and development work seek to: ensure that the DP and CP are future-focused and adaptable; continuously strengthen learning and teaching for 16- to 19-year-old students; and support the effective implementation of the DP and CP.
Job background and purpose
The post holder will be responsible for the ongoing development of IB offerings by leading and managing the curriculum development for designated subjects.. The role of the curriculum development department is to develop curriculum content and assessment (formative, competencies) model tool based on the blueprint provided by student design department. This role maintains a balanced focus on knowledge domains, cognitive development, and competencies essential for human flourishing, ensuring coherence and progression across the IB continuum. The post holder will provide expertise to support the development of policy for technology integration and will lead and manage the implementation of this policy through quality cross-model support for curriculum development, aiming to advance the integration of technology into learning, teaching and assessment.
Curriculum Development Managers plan, manage, and lead the curriculum development of designated subject areas and components through the curriculum review process, aligning with the IB’s educational philosophy and current educational research. Each Curriculum Development Manager ensures the vitality, rigour, and relevance of educational offer components, aiming to enhance the IB continuum of international education and establish its leadership in the field. Additionally, Curriculum Development Managers may undertake or contribute to projects or activities that extend the scope of their role.
