Our exclusive client based in Wigan is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This business has gone through an exciting period of growth over the past few years and is looking for a driven Assistant Accountant who will grow and develop with the business.
Duties Include
* Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register maintenance, and profit & loss analysis
* Intercompany reconciliations and review nominal ledger balances to ensure accuracy
* Oversee internal recharges and cross-entity financial entries
* Assist with preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Assist the purchase ledger and sales ledger team with any complex queries
* Supporting the FC with ongoing improvement projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong transactional accounting experience and be looking for the next step into an Assistant Accountant role. The business will pay for study support should the candidate want to study but this isn’t essential and candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered.
You need to be a confident and strong communicator with a love for accounting. You will be naturally organised with an eye for detail, be used to working to tight deadlines as well as being a good team player.
