Overview

Successful applicants will have substantial post graduate experience of working in musculoskeletal specialties; will have excellent leadership skills, a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.


Responsibilities

* Undertake all MSK aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner acting as a specialist for MSK and seeking support when appropriate for non-MSK conditions or concerns.
* Support the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners and Therapy Leads in taking a lead role within area of specialism, providing advanced therapy assessment and treatment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions. Identify, analyse, evaluate and problem solve to enable the development and delivery of individualized intervention and treatment programmes.
* Role model positive, inclusive and compassionate leadership.

Work model and collaboration

Multi-site working. The four partner Trusts of the Black Country Provider Collaborative (Dudley Group NHS FT, Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust, and Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust) collaborate to deliver better, faster and safer care. Depending on safety and service needs, there may be an expectation to work flexibly across the four partner Trusts.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a band 7 physiotherapist to join the Community MSK Assessment & Physiotherapy Service (CMAPS). The service includes MSK rehabilitation, First Contact Physiotherapy, Advanced Physiotherapy & administration. The role involves unsupervised, comprehensive assessment of patients in a health centre setting, with support from peers, APPs and Clinical Lead. CPD opportunities exist within a supportive environment.


Role-specific requirements

* Band 7 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist / Clinical Team Leader
* Experience leading a team and mentoring with inclusive and compassionate leadership
* Ability to assess patients within a health centre setting and manage a varied caseload
