Red Recruitment Group is sourcing an experienced multi‑drop 3.5 tonne van driver for a temporary to permanent full‑time position in Govan, Glasgow.
The role involves loading and offloading goods to and from the delivery vehicle, completing delivery proof paperwork, and handling cash occasionally when on client deliveries.
The vehicle is a Mercedes Sprinter long wheel‑base van; all fleet vehicles are modern, less than 3 years old, and maintained meticulously.
Applicants must have at least 2 years of night‑time van‑driving experience to be successful.
Drivers must be over 25 years old, possess a clean driver’s licence, and have no previous DR, IN, DD, or CD convictions, as these are not accepted for insurance reasons.
Basic working hours are 17:00 to 03:00 plus overtime, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £12.71 per hour for temporary work, becoming permanent after 2 weeks with an immediate start available following an on‑site interview on 27 May. All hours are paid flat through Red Recruitment Group. Overtime after 45 hours per week is paid at time and a quarter when permanent. The basic annual salary is £29,741.40 with an on‑target earnings of £33,500 per year including overtime. One hour break is deducted daily. Payments are weekly during the temporary‑to‑permanent period and monthly thereafter when employed directly by the client.
Interviews are available on Wednesday 27 May, and the successful driver can start as soon as the position is secured.
