Your new role
You will join the business as an Accounts Payable Clerk on a 3-month fixed-term contract, supporting the finance team with day-to-day transactional processing.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function, maintaining accuracy and efficiency across high-volume transactions.
This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
* Matching, batching, and coding invoices
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
* Preparing and assisting with payment runs
* Managing supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
* Supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance team as required
* Assisting with process improvements and maintaining accurate financial records
What you'll need to succeed

* Previous experience in an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger role
* Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Confident communicator with good organisational skills
* Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently when required
* Immediately available or available at short notice
