Overview:
An established, family-owned main contractor with a strong presence across the UK and Ireland is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a £100m flagship mixed-use development in North London.
This high-profile project forms part of a wider regeneration initiative and includes a mix of residential units, student accommodation, and commercial space.
The role offers clear development towards a Lead QS position, reporting directly to the Lead Commercial Manager, who oversees multiple projects within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Lead Commercial Manager across all commercial and contractual aspects
* Manage and mentor junior/intermediate surveyors
* Manage procurement, tendering, and subcontractor packages
* Oversee valuations, variations, cost forecasting, and final accounts
* Maintain commercial control and accurate financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, and key external stakeholders
Requirements:
* 5–10 years’ experience with a main contractor or developer
* Proven track record on mixed-use or residential-led projects
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Excellent commercial acumen and contract knowledge
* Strong communication skills and a team-first approach
