PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Due to the continued success of the firm, we are looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst to join the Leeds based team.
Working as part of the finance team your role as a Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of management information and analysis, assisting with specification and design, and seeking to improve and standardise current processes wherever possible.
THE TEAM
The Commercial Finance – Clients and Sectors team provides financial analysis, reporting, and strategic support to Finance, Business Development, and the wider Firm, enabling informed commercial decision-making.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
As a Financial Reporting Analyst you will:
• Produce timely and accurate weekly and monthly reports for Clients, Sectors, Groups and Teams.
• Perform client reporting for key clients
• Assist in specifying solutions to the management information requirements and identify gaps.
• Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement, contributing to decision-making.
• Support stakeholders both within and outside the finance team with data to drive profitable growth within the business.
• Produce regular/ad-hoc reports for detailed analysis of business performance and client profitability.
• Deputise for other team members as and when required.
YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
• A desire to learn and succeed in a fast-paced finance team, focusing on high quality management information and analysis.
• Be studying (or have the desire to start studying) towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
• Ability to work as part of a team and be able to thrive in a supportive and collegiate environment.
• To demonstrate a propensity to understand the business model and dynamics of a law firm.
• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of IT literacy, especially in Excel and Microsoft Power BI.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Excel is preferred.
• Good team player as well as capable of working using your own initiative.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to present data in formats relevant to the audience
• Ability to multi-task, work to tight deadlines, and take initiative.
