Sous Chef - Yeovil Location: Yeovilton Employer: Contract Catering Unit Salary: £15.73 per hour (approx. £30,679 annually) Hours: 37.5 hours/week, 5 out of 7 days Start Date: ASAP, Subject to DBS and references Are you a passionate and qualified chef looking to take the next step in your culinary career? Join our dedicated team at this contract catering unit and play a key role in delivering high-quality meals to the customers in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Key Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation. Deliver high standards of food hygiene, safety, and presentation. Assist in menu planning and stock control. Lead kitchen shifts and supervise junior staff when required. Participate in function catering (available as paid overtime). Shift Pattern 5 out of 7 days, including 1 in 3 weekends (reducing to 1 in 5 when fully staffed). Early and late shifts on a rota basis which are normally 6am-2pm or 11am-7pm. ✅ Requirements Qualified chef with relevant culinary certifications. Full UK driving licence.
